Two Different Seasons
Two Different Programs and Experiences in Wrangell Alaska.
Chrome Chasers Fishing Lodge offers two unique seasonal fishing programs, each showcasing Alaska’s rich natural experiences
Steelhead Fishing (April and May only)
This spring program is dedicated to the catch-and-release sport fishing of Alaska’s prized wild steelhead. Anglers immerse themselves in remote river settings, where freshly thawed rivers welcome steelhead making their way upstream. It’s a true wilderness experience, focusing on challenging, exhilarating fishing and appreciating the stunning, rugged landscape.
Alaskan Experience and Harvest Program (August and September)
Late summer and early fall bring a variety of fishing and harvesting experiences. In this program, guests fish for halibut, King salmon, coho salmon, Dolly Varden, and rainbow trout, with opportunities to harvest fresh catches to bring home. Beyond fishing, the program includes berry and mushroom foraging, bear viewing at Anan Bear Observatory, glacier visits, and a sustainable catch-and-cook experience that immerses guests in Alaska’s vibrant harvest season.
Both programs at Chrome Chasers provide a distinctive Alaskan adventure, each tailored to its unique fish, experiences, and adventure.
